In just 40 days, BOXX Modular created a bright, modern, and unique learning environment that fit with the characteristics of the mountainous resort town.
With the town’s strict design guidelines in mind, BOXX Modular (formerly Britco/BOXX in BC) delivered an innovative solution that features wooden finishes, angled walls, sloped ceilings, and metal siding. The interior of the building offers a bright and open learning environment thanks to the abundance of natural lighting through the large aluminum windows.
This modular project went on to win first place in the 2019 "Modular Building Institute's Award of Distinction" in the Modular Classroom category.

An Award-Winning Project Using the Latest Technology in Structure Design
Solution
BOXX Modular worked with StudioHuB architects and the local school district to deliver an innovative and self-sufficient learning environment. In addition to the bright and spacious classroom, the building provides storage as well as mechanical and washroom facilities. Winner of the 2019 Modular Building Award of Distinction, the design incorporates the latest technology to maximize energy efficiency. The benefit of a custom-built modular space allowed for a very short on-site construction timeline, while providing the flexibility for relocation in the future to meet the school district’s changing needs.
