Britco Rebrand: It's Official, Britco is getting in the BOXX!
Same product, same team, same locations; new look.
Back in 2017, Black Diamond Group (BDG) acquired Britco to expand part of their Canadian Modular Space Solutions (MSS) business, otherwise known as BOXX Modular Canada, into British Columbia.
Although it officially became a principal brand of BDG's MSS business unit, Britco kept its name, colours, and brand identity within the market.
This year, we are proud to announce that the Britco brand is fully integrating under the BOXX Modular name!
WHAT DOES THIS REBRAND MEAN FOR YOU?
We promise that your experience with Britco will not change. We are still the same company, the same people, and we will continue to offer the same products and services that you have come to know and expect from us.
Benefits and Advantages
- One company, one name: From 2017 until today, Britco has functioned as an integral part of our BOXX Modular team, but has appeared as a separate entity to clients and subcontractors. With this rebrand, we will be one company under one unified name.
- Coast-to-coast: With the inclusion of our BC branches, BOXX Modular Canada will officially consist of 11 branches spanning across Canada. From British Columbia all the way to New Brunswick, we are proud to offer our products and services to Canada's provinces from West to East and back again!
- Sharing is Caring: Our customers in BC and AB will be able to enjoy the benefits of more building configurations and increased building availability in their areas, thanks to the new unified product branding. This change will allow our branches in BC and AB to increase the flow of units between their locations.

As with any decision, there were many factors that contributed to our final call to fully integrate Britco with the BOXX Modular name.
→ The long answer can be summarized via 3 main points:
- Mitigate Confusion: When the official acquisition of Britco took place in 2017, it was decided that Britco's existing branding and public image would not be changed immediately. Throughout the years, as Britco and BOXX became more and more integrated, having two interchangeable names became a source of confusion. At the end of the day, we believe it's time for the transitional period to reach it's end, so we may begin a new chapter of the Britco/BOXX story.
- Realize Benefits: Allow for our partners, clients, and employees in the West to reap the benefits and advantages (highlighted in the above section) of a rebrand.
- Unification: To fully unify our Canadian products, services, and name from coast-to-coast!

The changes occurring as a result of this rebrand are exclusive to brand appearance, image, and messaging.
→ The long answer:
The official acquisition occurred back in 2017, which means all of the financial, legal, as well as any necessary, fundamental shifts have already come and gone.
As such, this rebrand will be an update in name and appearances only—instead of being called Britco, our Langley, Nanaimo, Prince George, and Kelowna branches will now proudly represent British Columbia as a fundamental part of BOXX Modular's Canada wide team. We are also trading Britco's orange colour palette for BOXX's signature red. This will be true on all fronts—from the branding of our units, to all communications moving forward.
As a result, we plan on phasing out the use of our Britco specific social accounts. However, this does not mean that our BC social media presence is going to discontinue! Please reference the FAQ question "Can I still connect with you on social media?" for more information.

If you are reading this article, the process has already started! We expect the transition, in all its components, to be fully completed by the end of 2024.
→ The long answer:
Starting at this article's release, we will begin to phase out the activity and new content posted to the Britco social media accounts. We will do this slowly, over a period of several weeks. We encourage all parties who wish to remain up-to-date with us to follow us at BOXX Modular (Canada), and our other social accounts which you can find linked below under FAQ question "Can I still connect with you on social media?"
By the end of 2024, all content on the Britco website will be fully integrated with the BOXX Modular CA website. By this time, BOXX Modular's online presence will be fully comprehensive of all 11 of our branches across Canada.
For all intents and purposes, there are no actions our clients or partners must take due to this rebrand.
That being said, by the end of 2024, Britco's online presence will be fully integrated into all BOXX Modular platforms. If you would like to keep up with us and all our latest updates, we highly encourage you to follow us online at BOXX Modular (Canada), and start utilizing the BOXX Modular website moving forward!
Nothing concerning the fundamentals of our business is changing. All products, services, processes, and the like will remain unchanged.
However, as we are updating our branding, Britco branded units will be updated with BOXX Modular branding over time. Please reference the below FAQ question "What will happen to older, Britco branded units and supplies?" for more details.

The official acquisition occurred back in 2017, which means all of the financial, legal, as well as any necessary, fundamental shifts have already come and gone.
As such, at this time, nothing concerning the fundamentals of our business is changing. All products, services, processes, and the like will remain unchanged.
This rebrand is primarily in the hands of our marketing team. As such, our branches in BC will continue to do business as usual throughout the process.
All existing contracts with us remain valid and unaffected. If you are currently in the process of doing business with us, and have yet to enter a contract, rest assured that this rebrand will not impact this process in any way.
Whether you have an existing contract with a BC location, you are currently doing business with one, or you are considering doing business with one, the process will remain entirely unaffected by the rebrand.
→ The short answer:
For our clients in British Columbia, you may still come across Britco branded units into the near future! Long term, all Britco branded units will be updated to BOXX Modular branding until no Britco branding remains.
→ The long answer:
This rebrand is not impacting any of our daily business or existing contracts, meaning all Britco units that are currently in use will stay in use until they are returned to their respective branch locations. Over time, as these units are returned, they will undergo a "BOXX makeover" to align them with BOXX branding. This keeps true to one of the key benefits of modular construction: reuse!
No. If you currently have a point of contact with a BC branch representative, you can continue to contact them as usual, using the same contact information.

Yes! By the end of 2024, all content on the Britco website will be fully integrated onto the BOXX Modular Canada website. The Britco website will remain active during this transition period, but will be dubbed inactive once all information has been moved over.
