Unique Design Exemplifying Efficiency, Durability, and Aesthetic
Our team delivered a waterfront base that showcases the very best of modular architecture, blending into its surroundings with a West Coast Contemporary design. The building features an atrium that masks its modular nature, as well as a maintenance-free exterior crafted with durable, high-quality materials like HardiePanel™ and Westform Metals. Internally, the space is tailored for marine operations, complete with a full kitchen with standard appliances, conference areas, and specialized washrooms. A professional color scheme aligns with other marine bases across British Columbia. Notable for its meticulous planning and durable features like custom railings and upgraded roofing, the project was a collaborative success.
This project also highlights the innovative potential of offsite construction. Despite road height restrictions, we designed a two-story atrium building, with the second story installed on-site, ensuring a flawless finish. We used commercial glazing throughout and featured high-quality interior finishes such as taped and filled gyproc, tiled wall panels, and commercial-grade cabinetry. Remarkably, all components were delivered from a manufacturing plant over 400 km away, arriving with minimal wear, preserving the custom finishes. The washrooms boast high ceilings, and the office complex sits on a reverse slab foundation, which necessitated the pouring of a separate slab foundation onsite before installation.
The modular approach facilitated the incorporation of high-quality interior finishes and commercial-grade features, proving that modular buildings can match the aesthetics and functionality of permanent structures. As such, this project set a benchmark for future modular offices within our client's organization, promoting operational efficiency and cost savings through replicable quality and functionality.
