Dow, a well-known materials science company, approached BOXX Modular for their temporary space needs during the early stages of their Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero project. After the qualification process, BOXX was selected as one of two modular building providers.
In the summer of 2023, Dow was in the early stages of its Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero project. While they prepared the site for the upcoming construction phase, Dow needed space for their management team to utilize.

Helping a Company Navigate Space Needs For Their Management Team
To ensure their team could operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently, Dow requested specs for a craft lunchroom and contractor office in addition to office complex space. Their request came with unique availability, timeline, and site safety requirements. Our team met these requirements by:
Relocating an existing office complex fleet from Southern Alberta, and manufacturing new units to suit the specific requirements of the project’s lunchroom,
Ensuring efficient project management to meet the accelerated timeline through constant communication with client representatives and contractors, and
Having all personnel complete a 10-hour safety orientation that ensured everyone knew of the site’s potential risks and hazards prior to beginning work.
Offering Turn-Key Solutions Through Collaboration & Partnerships
Throughout the process, our Edmonton Branch team and BOXX management visited the project site frequently, allowing us to collaborate closely with Dow’s Utilities Power and Infrastructure (UPI) Project Group and their contractual team and ensure all of their needs were met from start to finish.

Our dedicated Edmonton Branch team has worked hard to build a trusting relationship with Dow and is honored to have become an on-site partner as a result.
Since then, our team has added another 22 units for an additional 15,840 square feet, 14 units to Dow’s next project construction phase, with more units expected in 2025. In December, our team was fortunate to be invited back to take part in a celebration, held in the 144’ x 60’ lunchroom unit provided by BOXX, that marked 1,000,000 hours without a lost time incident.
