This construction client had our Langley Team "thinking outside the BOXX" to deliver efficient office space and pedestrian protection on a narrow portion of their project site, as close to the street as possible.
When beginning a new project, building a parkade and tower in a residential neighbourhood in Coquitlam, BC, our client needed office space for their team and protection for pedestrians using the surrounding sidewalk during construction.
Due to the project lot being tight on space, they needed a work space solution that would provide their team with enough room to work on a very narrow portion of the jobsite situated alongside the sidewalk. Naturally, this necessitated a unique, efficient solution that could maximize useable office space while prioritizing pedestrian safety.

to create the perfect space solution for this client.
Using our breezeways, pedestrian foot traffic could continue along the sidewalk undisturbed and protected from the ongoing construction. With their ability to stack atop our breezeways, our Bulldog offices presented the best solution to provide ample work space without taking up any additional square footage.
Further challenges presented in the slope of the street and sidewalk, making it impossible for our team to utilize a forklift during install for the upper offices. To accommodate, a crane was creatively (and safely) used to stack offices atop the breezeways in an efficient workaround.
