BOXX Modular supplied the city of Prince George with 4 mobile and 2 skidded office trailers to act as the central base of the support center, 1 lavatory unit, and 1 additional skidded unit designated as a Cultural Appreciation Trailer, providing a space for First Nation elders and Indigenous representatives from the region to support their communities.
This summer, these units have acted as a safe space for those displaced by wildfires, namely, the evacuees from Jasper, AB. The volunteers from the City of Prince George Emergency Support Services have utilized this base to coordinate aid and comfort for all evacuees, providing a variety of support such as: supplying basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing; accommodating for families with pets and those with disabilities; facilitating communication via phone and Internet connection; and last but not least, giving community members much needed emotional support in a time when they need it most.
BOXX Modular extends our utmost condolences and best wishes to the community of Jasper, and all those who have been affected by devastating wildfires, as they continue to endure and rebuild. At the same time, we are proud to support the heroic efforts of the dedicated Prince George volunteers who have been working tirelessly to support evacuees, and we are grateful to be part of a solution that helps bring safety and relief to those affected. As we continue to witness the strength of volunteers and the community coming together, we are reminded of the impact of collective effort and the essential support structures that help us navigate through the toughest times.
