A First Nation Band in the Okanagan region required a workspace that aligned with both their operational needs and cultural values.
To support over 20 community leaders, including council members and department heads, our client sought a temporary office space to comfortably collaborate, perform daily administrative duties, hold meetings, and host community engagement. BOXX Modular tailored a solution that met the professional needs of their leadership team while honoring Indigenous ways of working, creating a functional and culturally respectful environment tailored to their unique needs.
Quick Facts
Client: First Nation Government Industry: Indigenous Governance & Community Services Location: North Okanagan Region, BC Building Use: Office space Project Duration: 2+ years
Our BOXX Modular Kelowna Branch, using their past experience facilitating projects on Indigenous land which allowed them an understanding of the community's infrastructure and needs, provided the community with 2 office complexes consisting of nine 36' x 60' and 72' x 60' units total, with washrooms installed to the main unit. Despite the temporary nature of the office space, our experienced team ensured that the design included separate areas for the department heads and Band council to work privately, as well as open areas for the community to gather and collaborate.
