Over the last 50 years, Maple Reinders has delivered more than 750 water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities across Canada.
The design and construction management company, Maple Reinders, required a modular office facility that would be relocatable after the expansion of a waste water treatment plant in Oakville, Ontario was completed.
BOXX Modular was approached with very specific requests. Maple Reinders needed an on-site office facility to accommodate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, contractors, consultants, inspectors, and administration staff within 30 days. As always, we were up to the task!
Quick Facts
Client: Maple Reinders Industry: Construction Location: Oakville, ON Building Use: Waste Water Treatment Plant Size of Project: 2,400 sq. ft. Completion time: 30 days
BOXX Modular delivered a custom built modular facility comprising three modular units. Each custom built module was a different shape and size with different frames and roof lines. The complex was constructed using thermal windows for higher energy efficiency; T-bar ceilings and fire-rated ceiling cavity for improved air quality; and the strength and durability of a triple beam perimeter and steel exterior.
By using easily re-locatable modular units, a synchronized construction process, and BOXX Modular's expertise in delivering similar engineering complexes; both time and costs were saved on behalf of the client. The project took just 30 days to complete. And in 2015, BOXX Modular won 1st place in the Modular Building Institute's Award of Distinction in the Relocatable Office Complex category.
